Hello,
Anybody knows if overclocking memory (e.g. from 800 MHz to 1200 MHz) and setting a lower trD (aka performance), will actually speed up CPU or GPU folding?
trD is MCH read delay on socket 775 intel mobo's. MCH=Memory Controller Hub
After overclocking my memory and setting a lower trD value, I have noticed that my system's responsiveness has increased. I can now fold with my GPU, fold with my 4 CPU cores, and watch a video, movie or even play a game at the same time with little or no lag. The question is if memory oc'ing and lower trD improves folding speed as well.

Re: Overclocking memory, trD setting, and folding
The most important thing, is that the WU is completed without errors, such as getting EUEs or NANs, or UNSTABLE_MACHINE errors. A machine with "stable" overclocking in other things (eg games, videos, etc.) can still fail at folding. Stability at doing other things does not mean that a computer will succeed at folding. Only actual experience will prove if a particular overclock will succeed at folding, and even then, some WUs are more "difficult" than others. So you may succeed at folding some WUs, but not others. I prefer to get more points by either upgrading a system (add a GPU, upgrade to a faster GPU, get a faster CPU, etc.), or by building a new system.

Hello Ypologos, welcome to the forum.
Check the frame times in the log file. Depending on your other system configs, you should see shorter frame times, which means FAH is folding faster.
