New WU not downloaded

Hello,

My computer finished a WU but did not retrieve another one. As such only my GPU is now folding. I dont seen any obvious errors in the log. How can I get folding again? I shut down, rebooted, but with no help. My computer is just stuck "downloading". Here is the log file.

The last entry for WU02 in your log was: 12:45:36:WU02:FS01:Downloading 367.61KiB

Something has caused the download to fail. Restarting the client and/or a reboot should clear up the problem.

As mentioned in my OP, I did reboot my computer but no change was observed. I'll try again now.

Well it seems that the 3rd reboot did the trick. Now I have both CPU and GPU folding. Weird in how 2 other reboots did not fix this issue. Can't understand that.

On another note, I noticed something very strange with my computer now. When I open up the activity monitor and look at the processes running, almost none of them have any user name listed. They are totally blank. Usually it will say something like "system", "Local" or the user name of my pc's account. But now they are just blank. Does anyone know what that means?

It is interesting that it took 3 reboots but may not be that unusual. One of my computers will always blue screen if I just do a reboot after the monthly windows updates. It may take a few days before it eventually blue screens, but if I actually shut it down and power it back up then the blue screen never happens. Strange but true. Perhaps it took 3 reboots before whatever was causing the download to stick could reset itself, but that's just speculation.

By "activity monitor" are you talking about Task Manager or is this some other software?

I think he is using a Mac.

There is no GPU core for the Mac's o/s.

That's strange, because Activity Monitor is the Mac version of Task Manager in Windows. I wonder why he used that term if he's on a Windows machine? Maybe he's a Mac user who switched over to Windows, and is using the Mac terminology when he is actually using Task Manager in Windows?

There are some incompletely researched communications problems associated with uploads and downloads where SOMETHING causes a communications error and neither the server nor the FAHClient notice that the link has gone down. (I think there's an open ticket but didn't find it.) Communications will not recover without manual intervention.

If you have any idea why one or two reboots didn't fix it, maybe that's a useful fact for development to consider, but I suppose it will remain a mystery.
