Wow Tim, that was a quick reply! Thank you!

BTW, without the sophisticated third party monitoring tool that I have running on my main server, I NEVER would have caught this in a thousand years.

With InCrease, it was a piece of cake.
It also took only a minute or two to develop the info for the post.

At some stage, I would like to reopen the discussion of third party monitoring tools and Pande Group's cooperation with a very select group of developers.

You'll know when that time comes.

I continue with the concept that the Pande Group's #1 Asset is its dedicated group of volunteers.
I doubt that they would disagree with this.

Absolutely John - it's a partnership, which has evolved well past the simple arrangement of Stanford providing work units and users crunching them.

When you consider the impact of the project's volunteers, here and at other Folding sites, in supporting and documenting the software, assisting other folders, beta testing new work units and clients, identifying bugs and proposing workarounds, pushing the envelope of the current software, developing third party software, and contributing data to compilations like fahinfo and the Jmol folding site, it's clear that the "dedicated volunteers" among the user community are providing a much richer asset to the project than they could ever do simply by crunching more work units.

Likewise, when the Pande Group researchers explain their scientific goals and results, respond to user concerns, update the user community on their plans, and work cooperatively with users to improve software reliability and performance, those efforts also substantially strengthen the project.
