I'm new to folding. I'm using the SMP client but when it asks for "CPU usage requested (5-100) [100]?" I say 50 but the client is still using 100% of my CPU.

Welcome to the F@H Forum Stene,
If you are using the SMP2 Beta Client v6.30 with the -smp flag, then please note that the CPU Usage request has little or no effect. If you want to limit the CPU usage, then you need to use the -smp X flag where X is the number of CPUs you want the F@H Client to use. Do note that the F@H Client runs at low/idle priority so your normal applications will run without any issues. For further troubleshooting, we will need your FAHlog (
Details) and some basic information about your system like CPU Type, Operating System, etc.

Method -> (

Please note that the value of X isn't the CPU usage. It is the number of CPUs your Operating System has detected, i.e. on my Intel Core i7-860, I can use -smp X where X can be any value from 2 to 8 (both inclusive). Maybe if you can tell us your CPU Model by running
CPU-Z, we can advise you on the X value.
BTW, is there any specific reason you want to limit CPU usage?
