When this WU is paused it closes F@H. I paused it once to play a game and when I came back to desktop the F@H icon in my taskbar was gone. Then I paused it today and stayed on desktop and when I looked at the taskbar it was gone again. I was afraid that the WU would error being paused when it was closed, but that seemed to have no lasting effect on the WU when I restarted F@H. This is on a WinXP 6.23 CPU client. EDIT: I just tested it a third time after about 5 seconds it closes after being paused.

I got this when I paused it to play a game.

Code: Select all

[21:44:20] + Paused
[21:44:26] mdrun returned 1
[21:44:26] Gromacs was interrupted
[21:44:26] Folding@home Core Shutdown: INTERRUPTED
[21:44:26] CoreStatus = 66 (102)
[21:44:26] + Shutdown requested by user. Exiting.***** Got a SIGTERM signal (2)
[21:44:26] Killing all core threads

Folding@Home Client Shutdown.

This was just a short while ago when I paused it just for a second on my desktop.

Code: Select all

[21:20:51] + Paused
[21:20:56] mdrun returned 1
[21:20:56] Gromacs was interrupted
[21:20:56] Folding@home Core Shutdown: INTERRUPTED
[21:20:56] CoreStatus = 66 (102)
[21:20:56] + Shutdown requested by user. Exiting.***** Got a SIGTERM signal (2)
[21:20:57] Killing all core threads

Folding@Home Client Shutdown.
I know it's nothing major, but I figured this isn't probably how it's suppose to act to being paused.

I think the "pause" might be broken. Seems to have different effects too.
But nothing has been confirmed, as I can see.

You might have a point. This WU using the a4 core which I had to download before working on the WU and it was dated September 26 of this year. Not sure when fahcore_15 came out that is in the topic your link talks about.

Happened again on my second CPU client. Project 10425 (Run 2824, Clone 0, Gen 1). No error or anything so the WU doesn't get lost on restart of F@H.

Don't use Pause. A simple Stop and Restart later work.

I know that. I'm not complaining or saying "Fix this now!". As I said in my first post. To me this was a minor glitch. My previous post was just a confirmation that it happens on multiple computers for me so it's not just a single buggy computer.

The topic RAH mentioned was about it or a similar bug causing a bit more then just an inconvience. Not to mention there was a past bug that would cause the whole WU to restart if it was restarted. So figured I'd just post info about and if PG decided it needed fixing then they would. If not no harm no foul.
