proper shut down

I'm just a simple home user. Got up and running yesterday. Running SMP in Systray. Seems to be working ok. What do I do if I need to shut down while client is folding? Do I rightclick and click Quit, or does the app just handle it? Don't want to mess things up.

Use the Quit option in the menu for the Systray client. Use Ctrl-C in the active window for the Console client.

Welcome to the F@H Forum icetaximama,
Just to clarify, SMP isn't available in Systray Version. It only comes in Console Version. However, the Classic Client is available in Systray and Console. Refer to jrweiss's post on how to exit the F@h Clients depending on their version.
