After completing a result, this WU was assigned and immediately failed
several times in a row. I ended up deleteing the work directory queue.dat
and was assigned a different WU

It might be a faulty WU, seems so according to this thread.

I added a pointer from the other tread to this one.

Edit: The other thread was about gen 0 issues on this WU. As this is a GEN 9 it may, or may not, be the same issue. Thanks for the report.
