How NOT to fold using FahCore_b4.exe

Is there ANY way to download WU which does not use FahCore_b4.exe?
I recently folded many WUs using this subprogram but EVERY time when results are sent back I got ‘server has problem with WU’ or ‘server has no info of that WU’ or something similar. I cannot quote exact message but you get an idea. Even before when this code was ‘beta’ I had similar issues.
I do not have log of those finished WUs; I do not have –adv flag set.

I just want to fold something which uses FahCore_78 or similar. I had to delete all results produced by this damn FahCore_b4.exe and after multiple tries I was able to get some for ‘78’. But today – no luck.

If there is no way to avoid this awful FahCore_b4.exe I will have to abandon this protein folding. Shame since I was/am folding 24/7 and average return was 6-8 results per 24h.

Would not it be better to find out why it's happening? Then you would not have to worry about getting b4 WUs.
What are the details of your machine, OS and can you post the log next time it happens?

There is another thread discussing this problem here

The b4 core is only for the uniprocessor client and therefore won't be run on the multiprocessor WU's or GPU2 folding. However, you do need appropriate HW to run those clients.

If you have more than a single core processor then run the SMP client with -smp -verbosity 9 -advmethods as parameters. Also get yourself a passkey so you can get bonus points.

There are currently very few (maybe none?) active projects using FahCore_78. The needs of science determine which core gives the desired results and apparently the recent research efforts are focused on other cores.

As has already been stated, we need to figure out why you're having trouble with core_b4 and/or you need to have the necessary hardware so you can choose to run SMP or GPU projects.
