On one of my clients I encountered the following problem:

[06:04:42] Sending work to server
[06:04:42] - Error: Length of work/wuresults_02.dat (6875471) exceeds packet limit set (5241856)
[06:04:42] - Error: Could not transmit unit 02 (completed January 22) to work server.
[06:04:42] Keeping unit 02 in queue.
[06:04:42] - Error: Length of work/wuresults_02.dat (6875471) exceeds packet limit set (5241856)
[06:04:42] - Error: Could not transmit unit 02 (completed January 22) to work server.
[06:04:42] - Error: Length of work/wuresults_02.dat (6875471) exceeds packet limit set (5241856)
[06:04:42] Could not transmit unit 02 to Collection server; keeping in queue.

Does anybody know how I can resolve this issue?

The client is a 5.04 client.

TIA

Two choices. Update your client to 6.2x or keep you current one doing the following :

- allow big work packet assignments in client configuration
- use qfix to try to repair your queue before try to send again.

Can you mention which project is causing issues (I bet it's p6318 ...) ?

I think I first fix it before I switch over to 6.2x.
- I already allow big work packet assignments, so that is not the fix...
- Where can I find qfix?

Btw, if you switch to 6.2x and overwrite the current 5.04 folder with it, does it use the current settings or do I have to redo the settings?

Yup, that is the one.

Qfix for v5 clients : http://linuxminded.xs4all.nl/mirror/www ... .html#qfix

If you choose to update your client, it's better to rerun the configuration : it will recover most of the old settings, but you'll have some new ones to set up ;)
