"Webpage has expired" browser error message.

Why's this error showing up? I can't see there's any reason for the forum pages to expire at all, much less expire after only about 30 seconds.
All it does is increase load on your forum server when it has to needlessly re-transmit the same pages over and over, and irritate users like me that are in love with the "back" thumb button on their mice...

When are you getting this? I usually get it if I hit "back" after submitting a post.

Pretty much any time I hit my back button. If I'm very fast jumping back it might work, but as I mentioned in the original post, the window of opportunity where it does work is really small.
I run IE8 btw, not that I expect it to really matter. I've seen this behavior before on Phpbb webforums, but not to this extreme extent.

Get stuff like this all the time on firefox, not just on this site, thought it was just my connection. Have to quit firefox and restart. Even worse on IE. Also frequently this site (and this one only) is 'faded' and unable to see edit quote or pm again I put it down to the poor connection I have.
