After yesterday's baby sitting effort and now these p5801s, my comps are off.
Get your act together.

Yeah..
What really bugs me is that nobody from Pande Group has commented on project 5801, despite the uproar!
Could we please get an official response from PG in this thread, please?
Like, why was P5801 launched at all?
Why wasn't it beta-tested?
Why has it been allowed to go on for so long without you pulling it?
I mean, half of my team of some 500 active folders are nuked right now. It's pretty hard to cheer up and try to motivate people when things like these happen. The timing couldn't be better either, we've already spent a lot of time and energy on the server issues.
One would assume that after the core 1.15 fiasco and the reoccuring server debacles, PG would be more careful. Right now the message seems to be the opposite?

Sooooooo...any word on when these junk WU's are going to be pulled? I can understand that these things will happen from time to time. It's the nature of a beta release. But it seems pretty clear that these things aren't working at this point. So what do you say Pande Group? Are you just about ready to yank these things and give us units that work?

I went to bed with no GPU2 WUs to do, woke up with none to do, got a few here and there during the day and then 5801s attacked. I thought the 5801s were gone for a little bit, just got another one. Could someone please kick the servers or something?

I hear you toTOW..
I think we all share your sentiment.
I do a lot of tech support and cheerleading within my team, so I'm in the same boat as you are here, basically.

I'm looking at my FahMon screen at the moment, all the GPU's are saying something along these lines ....

[23:35:59]
[23:35:59] Folding@home Core Shutdown: UNSTABLE_MACHINE
[23:36:02] CoreStatus = 7A (122)
[23:36:02] Sending work to server
[23:36:02] Project: 5801 (Run 8, Clone 262, Gen 0)
[23:36:02] - Error: Could not get length of results file work/wuresults_02.dat
[23:36:02] - Error: Could not read unit 02 file. Removing from queue.

Given the response already, I think it's time the 5801's got the boot .........

Maybe aliens came and took the entire Pande group to their home planet to run their folding project. Because it sure is strange we haven't heard from any of them yet, and it's an Tuesday, non-holiday here in California.

They're still on the currently running prosjects page. I doubt they've got a single one that has passed 1% completion in return.

I think they need some rest, and i dont blame them with the last weeks problems with 1.15 and WU servers being almost DOSed and cramping all over the place. And this just in the Nvidia section.
Its not the end of the world, let them have a normal life. This is a voulenteer project, non-profit, for the greater good, to save lifes in the future etc.
