I am passing on the latest information on getting passkeys sent out.

Most have been sent, a few hundred are still waiting to go out. Many of those waiting are to Yahoo email addresses, they are working on getting a temporary block removed.

If you have not received your passkey email in 24 hours from now, please post the domain that you are trying to receive one at.

There are still over 500 held emails. A good number of them are probably typos. A couple of domains have still blacklisted FAH as a source of spam because so many went out at the same time. We're working with each of those domains.

I received my code yesterday, but it took quite some time.

They were sending emails out from an account set up on Gmail for the Folding@home consortium as part of a move to go to cloud services after much of the Stanford infrastructure was about to be taken offline a couple years ago. Maintaining a mail server and keeping it secure was not planned for at that time.

Due to the issues connected with the high volume of passkey requests this past week, a mail server has been set up through foldingathome.org. Since it is a new server there also have been issues connected with getting all of the DNS settings in place and propagated to be seen by ISPs who validate email sources through such things as reverse-DNS lookups.

I'm also not receiving my passkey.

The Website for getting it says that it has been sent already and i should try again in four hours.

Has it been sent and failed to arrive and i should try again or is the e-mail queued up and i should not try again?

It depends a bit on what your email provider is. At the end of last week for instance, they were working on getting a temporary block removed on emails being sent to Yahoo domains. As for retrying, do wait at least the 4 hours.

Also checking your spam folder is still advised if you haven't. Some filters see the short email with the hexadecimal passkey as potential spam.

I wanted to add that this is still an issue. I haven't receive emails sent to my protonmail. (nothing in spam etc)

May I ask why on earth you're using a Gmail account to send out the email instead of a an email service designed for mass emailing? SendGrid is one example that is relatively cheap and very reliable.

You can thank Yahoo for that problem. Their anti-spam bot has decided to classify FAH's server as source of spam and has blocked thousands of email that legitimately should get through to everyone. Obviously too many people asked for passkeys during a very short period of time. The FAH Developers have managed to unblock those emails that were sent to google email addresses but have not been able to convince yahoo to unblock those sent to a yahoo mail server.

I know this isn't high priority, so just noting that I used neither a Yahoo or Gmail accounts.
My Posteo.net email doesn't appear to be receiving a passkey email , & there is nothing in spam.
