I think none. Points do not equal work. The wu's were not lost acording to Stanford. Offcourse if you want to start the whole conspiracy thing again feel free to be as paranoid as you want. Though, I can see why it's not unthinkable, the pr would be disastrous, but as long as there is no proof in any way shape or kind, we got to trust the information given to us shouldn't we?

Like the new stat servers that were coming 2.5 years ago so this wouldnt happen again? " the pr would be disastrous" exactly they wouldnt say if they did !I think road runner has been around longer than me!So hes heard it all and then some !

"Several noted after the points fiasco that the project was poorly-run and we have not seen them since" Well the project did grow way faster than they thought it would, but they kinda created it themselves. We had issues with servers when the smp got going real good a few weeks later PS3 went online and thats when they got in trouble.I dont have a clue how many 1000's of Ps3's went online, but way more than they were ready for Im guessing.Things havent been the same since. My team is now half the people it was then!

Look I understand the hurt, I agree the problems reflect badly on the project and that it costs us donors. The only thing I wanted to say is that it is pointless to magnify the problems by accusing Stanford of lying to the donors about loosing scientific work due to the stats glitch(es). That is, if such an accusation could be backed up with any kind of proof, sure be my guest as I think in that case it would hurt the project more to ignore something for which evidence exists.

But do you have any evidence that there is scientific result lost, contrary to what PG has told us? I don't think you do, as only PG could know.

So, without anything to back it up, why raise the level of suspicion higher then it is already?

Since yes, they grew so hard they are probably abit victim of their own succes, but there is no way throwing wild accusations around will help that ( unless you want to help them by loosing more donors? ).

Edit: ow just to note, don't be confused by registration date on the forums, they don't imply involvement only started at that time

The purpose of foldingforum.org is to help people (newbies or otherwise) who have problems. This discussion is just a gripe session and it's not helping anyone. I've let it run long enough for people to air their feelings, but nobody is helping anyone -- least of all the newbies.
