The only difference is i've updated wxwidget from 2.6 to 2.8, have i missed out on something or is there a bug?

ln -s /usr/bin/wx-config-unicode /usr/bin/wx-config

Then configure will be able to find wxwidgets correctly.

Both display styles should cycle at the same time.
