It's weird, the core doesn't even start ... it's probably software related ... do you have a security suite (Kaspersky, Norton, MacAfee, ...) that could interfere with the client ?

I noticed the early failure as well, seems strange that it fails before it begins normal functions.
For me, I noticed with the bad units, and still with the good ones, that the delay time during the core start/upload, platform identification seems on the slower side as compared to most work units. Even the GPU load jumps up and down several times as if it isn't starting the same as most projects. In my case, once started many (if not most) that failed did so in the first few percent of folding.
Looks like you are making a good run towards the top toTOW, top 100 is no easy feat these days.
