The reason JimboPalmer calls it a permissions problem will depend on how you start FAHClient. Notice that during the early part of the log, you MAY or MAY NOT find the following sequence of messages.

hh:mm:ss:Switching to user fahclient
hh:mm:ss:Trying to access database...
Do all of your startups switch to user fahclient or just some of them?

Well I don't know how many times I should restart the client to make the "statistics" believable. But I tried once by stopping and starting with the script, and once by stopping with script and then rebooting the computer. There was no difference between those two types of startups, both switched to user fahclient. Does that anwer your question bruce, or do you need more data?

That answers my questions except for one thing. Were the checkpoints saved in all cases -- except maybe when a WU had been assigned so recently that no checkpoints would have been written.
