i can confirm the same for my 970s and a lot of other people.

V7 and most actual nVidia driver. Just stopped my Card since mostly there was just Core 15.

My rig too can not get and Core_17 work units or any other GPU unit for that matter. CPU is folding fine now. Haven't changed anything,. Running Windows Vista, AMD/ATI 6970 and Core2Duo processor.

You appear to have the same problem I did, a bad or zero-byte gpus.txt file. See: viewtopic.php?f=96&t=27967

We recently changed our formula for weighting assignments. I suspect the x15 projects (which have always been highly down-weighted) somehow got bumped up. I've alerted the relevant people

It's possible that when there are no other WUs available, and core 15 is the only thing left, that's how it looks to be of a higher weight, and really is not.

IIRC, you can only get core 15 work units on the older v6 clients, or on V7 clients with special client settings.

None of my AMD GPUs have been able to get work for the past 24 hours. I also know of at least 10 other users on my team that are having the same issue. I'm not sure how the weighting would affect AMD GPUs, since the only production WUs that can be folded on AMD are core_17.

Same error as the above user. Assignment server is unable to find work for my AMD GPUs.

Okay, I temporarily added 9411 back to the pool of available AMD projects again. I think the WS that hosts project 9201 may be experiencing some issues.

We fixed an issue with the assignment server which prevented communication with a handful of work servers (including the one that serves 9201). x17 assignments should return shortly.

You can still get Core 15 with standard settings on V7, it may not be likely as they are set to low priority but it can happen.

The beta setting was required for pre-Fermi cards to get Core_15 after the end of Core_11 projects. The option of setting max-packet-size to small was for Fermi and later cards to be opted into getting Core_15 by default instead of the later projects. Queues on both servers with Core_15 work exist for Full, Advanced and Beta.

Last time I checked, those were only available with a beta setting, not a standard setting. It may have changed since then.

The beta setting merely forces you to get one, they can still be had without it. I know as I just got a couple on my 980ti and 960.

I have gotten quite a few core 15 projects on both GTX 960 and GTX 980. I haven't seen any in the last few days, just core 18 now. I have not changed any settings since installing 7.4.4 FAH. I haven't had trouble getting assignments for these GPUs either. A couple days ago, the CPU would have to wait at times, but that is no longer a problem.
