Re: My WU reseted, view last posts!

Post by Devreugkx »

I'm 100% sure it's the same WU, the numbers are the same, and if I look at 'queue info' or 'My Folding' it shows 17 sept. as download date and it reseted today.
17 sept was the day I got that WU, so it really reseted. Have I lost that progress now?
And I didn't change anything in the configure window.

Thanks for that wiki-page, it helped a lot.

What are the computer hardware specs?

And why does the client run for about 2 hours and then stop? Is the computer going in to a power saver standby mode?
How to provide enough information to get helpful support

I don't exactly know what the specs are, but if you can tell me where I can find those, I'll tell.

I run F@H on my laptop: TravelMate 7730
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo processor T6570 (2.1GHz, 00MHz FSB, 2MB L2 Cache)
Memory: 2GB DDR2
Operating System: Windows Vista

Sometimes I put it into Standby-modus, or I close my laptop, than it doesn't continue.

Closing your laptop normally will suspend all processing. Placing it in standby will also suspend all processing.

FAH only works when the computer is active. If you want FAH to complete WUs rapidly, you'll need to leave your laptop plugged in and disable any power savings settings so that it continues to run 24x7. If you're willing to accept lower throughput, you can fold less than 24x7 but you'll still have to put in as many hours as it takes to complete the WUs before they expire.

Ok, but what about the WU I'm doing now.
It keeps reseting can't Ido something against it?
If it keeps going I won't be able to finish it before the time it has to, because that keeps the same after such a reset.

Is it the same WU that is in the log? If not, please post as much of the log as you can. It REALLY helps with finding a solution.
Thanks.
F@h is now the top computing platform on the planet and nothing unites people like a dedicated fight against a common enemy. This virus affects all of us. Lets end it together.

Yes it's the same WU, but the Log was full, and than it automaticly starts a new one.
So I just got the part I posted above.

How much free space do you have on your primary disk drive?

When you say the log was full, does that mean you do not have any more space to store it on your hard-disk? If that's true, that could be what's causing the WU to abort/reset. FAH cannot process the current WU if the disk fills up.

My log file does not fill up, and it automatically starts a new one only when i restart the client and then only if it's over 50K.

My Primary Disk got enough space.
I mean just like you, that it automaticly starts a new one when the client restarted when it´s over a certain amount.
