Curious - do you mind telling us which is your user name? Here in the forum you show blacckbox but in one of the above logs you are showing blaccbox. Also, it will be impossible to troubleshoot all of these systems at once. How about if we focus on just the one reinstalled box with the verbosity flag. Can you post a recent complete log from startup. They are easier to read if you go into the full editor and hit the code button. Then post the log between the code tags. Thanks. Looking forward to seeing another log. My initial impression of this is your machines are are set up and working fine but there seems to be a lack of CPU work units.

Certainly one very important thing to check is to make sure that the username in all clients is identical and that it's what you think it should be.

Is the User Name blacckbox you? http://fah-web.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/mai ... =blacckbox

Has blacckbox been blacklisted? I'm off to see if my remote computers will fold as Anon.

got it. it's just driving me crazy that different computers are acting differently.

could a typo (blaccbox) in one client stop the rest from getting WUs?

There was one time when someone had a name that was blacklisted for a specific reason. But that was caught rather quickly after the person posted about having problems. I do notice that when I try to look at your team info it says it's not in the database even thou your score is high enough to show that you are an active folder. Not sure why that is.

I'm starting to think this is the case. The other week I was having a hell of a time trying to get an old GeForce 8400 GS to fold. Could all my activity with that GPU client look fraudulent somehow triggering a block on my user name?

I doubt it the previous block was someone whose username was similar to another who broke the EULA and F@H rules or something like that. They ended up having to change their name from what they originally tried to use. You on the other hand have had the same name for a while and have folded successfully with it in the past. Also older Nvidia cards like yours(I also have a computer that has a low end Nivida card an 8500) have been known to act up with the GPU client 8000 and 9000 series I believe.

Your problem could be connected to why we can't bring up your team info in the stats. But we might have to ask a mod about that.

I'm pretty sure the one typo will not affect the other clients. It will give the work unit credit to that user name. Hopefully one of the seniors has some thoughts on what Baowoulf and gwildperson mentioned. I've not seen something like this where you can get work one way and not the other and all your machines to seem to have the same problem at the same time.

Yeah, I had to give up on the 8400. At some point I'll get around to tossing in a GTX and then we'll be off & running.

The typo thing seems unlikely to me as well. Thanks for the input guys. At least my two home machines can do something Anonymously.

You are not the only person to have problems with an 8400. I'm thinking the latest work units are simply too big for the limited number of shaders in the older cards. Here was another thread: viewtopic.php?f=50&t=17879

From your First post:
[15:42:43] - User name: blacckbox (Team 1885016621)
The team numbers do not go that high , Stanford database says: "Team 1885016621 is not in our database".

The Queue info shows 5 deleted WU , I suppose that Stanford might cut you off if you trash to many WU in a row ... I know I would

ah - remote computers are running with blacckbox, but NOT the team number. I'll try to replicate this on my home & office computers tomorrow. At the moment my home computers are Anonymous with no team number listed.

>>I suppose that Stanford might cut you off if you trash to many WU in a row ...

I was wondering if this might actually be the case... That 8400 was really being weird. No BSOD though. {Yet.}

Considering that F@H pushes your computer harder then other testing software I think they could tell the difference between a client&computer having problems and someone actually cherry picking WU's. Being a weekend you'll have to wait until tomorrow, but I'd bet once F@H starts showing your team it should start giving you WU's since you can get them with the basic Anon setting.

The question now is, what happened to my team number and why did it prevent me from getting WUs?

Did Stanford assign your Team the number 1885016621 or did you just make it up? I can't find any record of such a team actually being founded.

See http://folding.stanford.edu/English/FAQ-main#ntoc47 for how to create a team.
