Re: Project 5801 issues.
I've finally gotten rid of my 5801's too. I see my returned wu's are way down today so I assume not only my work pc but my home pc was hooped. I cant restart the home pc for a few more hours though.

Re: Project 5801 issues.
I'm still partially stuck on the p5801's on both of my graphics cards.
I had to delete the files about 7 times just now before I got a p5506.

Thanks - back up and running with a bunch of 5506's!ei57 wrote:You may try to restart now. I've got 5506 on all mine now, but the 5801's may still come through. At least they seem to assign a mix of WU's.Dead Things wrote:Mods - please post notice of when the 5801's have been pulled. All my cores have been shut down by either EUE limit or unstable machine errors, so I'll have to restart them all manually once the coast is clear.
Cheers!
Re: Project 5801 issues.
Add me to the list of those having problems with WU 5801 Run 5 Clone 221 Gen 0.
NANS, EUE limit exceeded, etc.
At first the folding would just disappear. None of the usual "FAH has detected an error..........", just, POOF, gone. I would restart and it would happen again. I deleted the core, restarted and it happened again, Tried deleting the core again and now it doesn't disappear but it won't fold.

Don't give up so quick.Jolly-Swagman wrote:there still p5801,s being given out,
Even after Delete Work folder and queue.dat you get em back and EU straight away
So will be shutting down till they have stopped them
Rinse and repeat...

Apart from this p5801, no other project EUE's on any of my 15 GPU clients.

Re: Project 5801 issues.
Having the same issue here, anyone know if taking off the -advmethods flag will disable the 5801s?
Re: Project 5801 issues.
Just stop and restart your client, then you will get better wu's. 5801 is off the marked now.
Re: Project 5801 issues.
I'm getting them without the -advmethods flag set. (Does that flag even have any function with the GPU2 clients?)larvi wrote:Having the same issue here, anyone know if taking off the -advmethods flag will disable the 5801s?

Re: Project 5801 issues.
Sid, it has been my experience that it can take as many as six cycles to get rid of the dastardly p5801 WUs.
You most likely already know the procedure, but just in case:
If you get another p5801, stop the client and delete the following:
Work folder
queue.dat file
unitinfo.txt file.
Rinse and repeat as necessary.
Oh yeah, add much patience.

Re: Project 5801 issues.
I had just deleted the work folder - finally it seemed to work. At least for me. Didnt even think to delete the other files.

Yeah, I've been purging that way here too.

Re: Project 5801 issues.
So it isn't my overclocked 9600 gso causing the instant mdrun returned errors.
At first, I thought it was but a closer inspection of the logs shows every non-guarded run error to be from this project number.
I hope they get it worked out soon. Hopefully, i don't have to rinse and repeat too many times since I have a relatively limited time to fold each day.
