FAH v8 has 'Resource Groups', that can be setup like FAH v7 'slots' on a local PC to partition your resources.
In the configuration settings, Resource Groups can be added with a forward slash "/" and name, in the 'Peers' section:
The Resource Group names can only contain: letters, numbers, period ".", underscore "_", or hyphen "-".
Multiple entries can be added as a space separated list like: /RG1 /RG2
Then, save the configuration settings, and there will be configuration settings for 'per Resource Group' controls that can be adjusted independently.
Each Resource Group will have independent Start or Pause controls:
For GPU folding, current Work Units can only use (1) CPU + (1) GPU to do a Work Unit. Any additional CPU resources specified will be used for CPU folding.
Future Work Units may be able to use all the resources you specify to do a single Work Unit, which is why Resource Groups are not being used by default for FAH v8.

Updated instructions for FAH v8.3.1:
'Resource Groups' can be setup like FAH v7 'slots' on a local PC to partition your resources.
In the Settings for the machine:
Resource Groups can be added with a name:
Select each Resource Group to edit the settings for it:
Then, save the configuration settings.
Once setup, there will be an independent Start or Pause button for each Resource Group:
NOTE: 'GPU only' Folding resource groups should no longer include 1 CPU resource in the settings.

Thanks for explaining that. To be honest, it looks like something that was useful and basic in V7 (independent management of CPU and GPU folding) is quite complicated in V8.

You can now only specify one group to create in the v8.3 Web Control. At a time.

I thought that v8 was supposed to get rid of slot concept, but here are the resources groups which are even more complex to understand/use ...

If you want to use resource groups with v8.3.4+, you may need to click a small lock icon at lower right of Settings view.
