Additional diseases FAH

Post by kasdashdfjsah »

Is it possible to add other diseases to research for to FAH like HIV/AIDS, Malarya, COPD, or other diseases?

F@H researchs misfolded proteins, if any disease is the result of misfolded proteins, then F@H can help.

Some research has gone into looking for "pockets" where drugs potentially could attach and prevent misfolding or keep a virus from properly folding and penetrating a cell wall. An example of the second would be research into the COVID "spike". As for possible, it depends on a researcher or research group deciding to look into a specific disease and using F@h simulation to investigate its structure and how that effects its infection or progression in an infected person.

If you are a research lab leader working on such diseases, you're welcome to join the FAH Consortium ...
