It you look in Chrome settings for the web control site (app.foldingathome.org) you can probably find something about allowing insecure content, or mixed security content.

Localhost gets a pass on most browsers, but the page will still be considered insecure as a whole.

My Chrome Site settings (right click in url bar) > Privacy and security > Insecure content says Block.
But it allows localhost anyway.

It also says connection is secure.

"(right click in url bar) > Privacy and security" doesn't exist in my Chrome. I have "not secure" left of the address. I have multiple computers. If I block insecure stuff in the settings, I can see localhost, but not the others on the network. Looks like the security adjustment only needs to be applied to view other machines, and it's probably why I get the insecure message, yours isn't trying to view other machines, so the insecure part of the page doesn't load.

This needs to be made easier, some users will not wish to tamper with security settings to see other computers on their network. Or maybe anyone with multiple computers on Folding is techy enough to be ok with it?

The standard way of accessing remote machines is going to change in the next beta release.

Currently still using a browser. At some point the client interface should get documented and then it may be possible to create other methods to use in place of the web based controls.
