Re: Folding@Home Client Control Android App
No Problem, I have to use what is available.
I also could do the trick on my side by booting some custom ROM.
For today its not hurting enough.

Re: Folding@Home Client Control Android App
I, too, have an old tablet that I'd like to use. I don't know if there were earlier versions of the plugins but it might be worth a search.
In any case, maybe you can produce a back-rev version that doesn't have all the features.

I'll definitely take a look
Re: Folding@Home Client Control Android App
Ok, my Nexus 7 is now booting to Android 7.1.2
Performance on latest Lollipop Stock was terrible.
I fired up all my Hardware around to see how it would look on a 7" display.
The grid is now 2 x ∞ what is fine on a phone.
An option for selecting the grid to be 3 x ∞ or even 4 x ∞ for larger devices would be very nice.
I also want to ask for a color slider or a 'dark mode'.
Regards,
Patrick

Re: Folding@Home Client Control Android App
Hi Patrick, if you turn on dark mode in the device settings, my app should go dark. I believe that may be an Android 10+ feature, however. I will implement a dark mode selection when I can find time to do it, sorry about that.
Re: Folding@Home Client Control Android App
That circumstance is also applying to the 3D-Printed Wall Mount i need for the tablet.WatsOnTV wrote:when I can find time to do it

Re: Folding@Home Client Control Android App
Hi Patrick, I believe I've found a small bug with my app which I think you could help me out with.
In your image, I see you have, in your Xeon client, 2 slots, with slot 01 first and then slot 00. Do you think you could try pause (through my app) one of these slots, and then see which slot actually pauses? I believe it will pause the other slot.
Thanks very much in advance

Re: Folding@Home Client Control Android App
I can verify that this has happened to me. Sometimes I'm forced to remove, then re-add a GPU, which ends up putting things out of order. Also, the problem of not having a slot-zero device is still there. I recently removed my CPU slot - points were horrible - and now I can't use the app to send any commands.

Ok, thanks for letting me know. I've taken note of these issues and will address them very soon.ajgringo619 wrote:I can verify that this has happened to me. Re: Folding@Home Client Control Android App
Hi all - I've just uploaded an update to the app, purely cosmetics. I've added a settings screen, which is accessible via the sidebar, where you can change away from the default orange theme to one of Orange, Blue, Red, Purple or Black, as well as a dark mode switch, to accommodate users with older devices. Please let me know if this all works as intended, and what you think. I also added which FahCore is running to all slots in the extended view, as requested by @Hopfgeist.
This update should be live in the next few hours and available for download via Google Play. Next update will address the issues we've found.
Thanks all!
Edit: update is live.

F... yeah!
Dark mode, black theme.
And it simply works.
Thanks you very much!

It seems that the links are dead, is this project still going?

This forum was transferred to a new server and new version of the software about a year ago. In the process links posted in older topics were broken. Sometimes by quoting in a reply box you can have enough to put the link back together, but not always. I do not know if this app for Android is still up on Google Play.LastMagmarian wrote: ↑Wed Apr 19, 2023 4:07 pm It seems that the links are dead, is this project still going?
