Help: Two unfinished WUs

Post by bruce »

I have updated to FAHCLient *.21 using the default installer settings. I find that I have two unfinished WUs assigned to a system with one CPU slot and they're not both online. (A similar issue would probably exist if I had a GPU on this laptop and other slot(s).)

One incomplete assignment is in

Code: Select all

C:\ProgramData\FAHClient
and another is in

Code: Select all

C:\Users\bruce\AppData\Roaming\FAHClient
How do I complete both of them?
How do I know which one is going to run when I reboot?

A theoretical fix would be:

Restart your system and see where the new CWD is. I would say C:\ProgramData\FAHClient
Set the client to finish
Once the WU finishes, exit the client
Delete the contents of C:\ProgramData\FAHClient
Move the contents from C:\Users\bruce\AppData\Roaming\FAHClient to C:\ProgramData\FAHClient
Restart your system
Assuming identical configuration, you can continue on the old WU and simply fold without issues

In V7.6.21, the fix has been implemented which removes any dual entry (V7.6.20) and only leaves one, in this case, it should be C:\ProgramData\FAHClient
