Folding idle/active setting (extra option)

Post by WakaikumDutchboy »

I can't find the topic. But could it be worked in that the Folding system it self. can have two speeds.
light/medium for when someone is active working on his/her/there computer.
But when the computer is idle it could run at full speed.
Might that be a option to look in to? I am not technical knowledgeable at all to do that my self. But i would love to give that extra bit of working power.
It might help the research.

Does FAH actually slow down your foreground actives or do you just think FAH should run slower when you're using the computer?

A CPU slot always runs at the lowest possible priority, so anything else that you CPU processes will automatically get priority.

There are no priority settings for GPUs so GPU processing is First In First out. The only option is to suspend GPU processing when your OS tells it that you're using the computer and resume processing when you're not at the keyboard ... known as running "on idle" That option can be set by FAHControl.
