I noticed my Win10 box was only folding when I logged on (the account that installed the client). My wife can log on and nothing happens. If I then do a switch user and log myself on.. then it is working again. She switches user back to herself, leaving my account logged on and all is well.
I said well darn must be the app is not installed for All users. So I uninstalled it. Including the optional DATA folder when the uninstaller asked. I noticed the DATA folder was set to my folder in C:\users\NEAL\blahblahblah so assumed that was not a public place...ergo evidence that I installed for my account only (aka current user) at some point.
Upon reinstalling, the installer NEVER asked if I wanted current user or all users. WHATS UP WITH THAT???? I thought I did a full uninstall??? Now seems stuck in 'current user' installs only, when I really want it installed for all users.

Re: (Win10) All users/Current user only
The all users option was removed few versions ago due to some technical reasons (I can't remember what they were). Thus, the current stable version only supports the current user. However, there's a new client version in development that will change the default to all users using the best practice guidelines but there's no ETA.
BTW, I assume that you're only folding on the CPU, not using the GPU. In that case, you could potentially install F@H as a service which ensures that regardless of who is logged-in or not, as long as the system is on, it will be folding.

Re: (Win10) All users/Current user only
The FAQ is still showing the All Users/Current user prompt that I was expecting, which you say was removed:

Yep, the website does need to be updated and there are plans for it but no ETA.

Re: (Win10) All users/Current user only
There was a longstanding bug in the "all users" option for WIndows and hopefully it has finally been fixed.
