Windows 10
CPU + GPU are used by FAH
I think since I updated from FAH 7.6.9 to .13 I have this problem more often. I searched for "reboot abort" in this forum but I found just threads which are too different IMHO.
1. I look into the advanced client and browser client. Both are saying the same value for each CPU and GPU job like 40-80% and 1-5h remaining. Then I shutdown the computer because I don't want to run it over night or I have to reboot for some reason.
2. When I boot again, I have to click in the start menu on Folding@Home to start it (I choose that in the installer, so it's intended behavior). When looking into the advanced client and browser client quite often it happens that one of the jobs (CPU or GPU) has it's old percentage value but it not in green state but yellow. After some seconds it jumps to 0% and becomes green. And it won't jump back to the old value. It really seems to start a new job.
This is really annoying escpecially if it's a 8h job where just 1h was remaining. We got one of the highest prices for electricity here in Europe...
BTW:
- In the browser client the "stop folding -> finish up" function doesn't work. I clicked that before one of my first FAH updates I did but it started the next job. So that job was aborted by the update

Only works in advanced client, IIRC except if it isn't processing anything (then in the end some problem as I mentioned before). But when used also in the browser client the symbols switch to yellow.
- When I reboot the computer I often have the problem that also my browser doesn't find an internet connection although it's via LAN/router. It boots quite fast thanks to SSD. Might FAH have a problem with that? But then it should affect both jobs?
- One time when I clicked pause before shutting down, the client didn't work anymore after the reboot (gpu.txt problem). I had to reinstall the client which means both jobs were aborted.
Please fix these bugs, espcially that ones that appear quite often on my computer.
Thanks.
