I guess the heat is starting to play a role here.
Now, an "active client in the past 50 days" can mean that in the past, user that returned no more than a couple of WUs were included in those stats.
Far more valuable are the long term users that have their machines running around the clock, mainly those high hitters from large companies and organizations (nvidia, LHC, to name a few) that we see shooting up the leader boards.
