Yes, as much as you're willing to donate on supported equipment that you own.

Yes, if you can easily afford it. Here's the link: https://foldingathome.org/about/donate/

Yes, Developers in macOS, Linux and Windows. Long-term Cooperate sponsorship would be fantastic too. Marketing and UX (user interface) people.

Open FAHControl and Go to Configure > Advanced. There is an option in the drop down box for covid-19
Hello pr0ti3n,

Where can I find FAHControl? (Sure FAH is K.I.S.S.)

I see:

Web Control

Advanced Control

Protein Viewer

May i ask what is not KISS about the F@H software?

When i first used it, i installed it and it started processing work units. I didn't have to set anything up, nor did i have to interact with it. Going in to the advanced control and everything is clearly labelled and described. To me this seems ideal for the average user.

With regards to the forum, what is wrong with the bot captcha? Assuming this is what you were questioning. Isn't it one step already? State what is shown in the image.

Please forgive me if this comes across as rude; are you a native English speaker?
Hello FoldingFodder,

(You may ask anything. I am not a native English speaker).

You have to copy and paste a link to see a picture, and then you have to fill out the captcha...

A "normal" captcha does not use a copy and paste step.

If you use steps, every step you incorporated, you loose participants...

I was told it had to do with security reasons.

Anyway, this is NOT the biggest deal.

This is:

I can chose:

"I support research fighting"

COVID-19 is not mentioned at first/immediately.

Why not?

I think there is no better way to get more participants by mentioning COVID-19

History usually teaches you the right priorities...

Why, because when the response to the COVID-19 pandemic started that option was not available and not easily added to the existing software. The option at that point is to wait a month or two, or use what is available immediately.

Now, nearly 2 months later an updated client was rushed out, after getting much expanded server infrastructure in place to handle the increased amount of work. The new version has a number of bugs, but it does have the COVID-19 option. In the meantime, many millions of WUs have been processed, and the vast majority were COVID-19 related

Hello Joe,
The new version has a number of bugs, but it does have the COVID-19 option.
What! Thanks!

Someone forgot to tell me this simple message:

Hello Mike,

You are using an old version of F@H

Now there is a NEW VERSION WITH COVID-19

Download the latest F@H and start folding.

Can someone predict when this new server infrastructure will be "full"?

There are enough new servers in https://apps.foldingathome.org/serverstats for doubling the present capacity.
But they were there two weeks ago already: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=34276

Then it was said that there was actually not enough work to be done, that the scientists had first to feed the beast.
Now, two weeks later, I supposed that the surge could be happening any day, any hour.
