INTERRUPT preventing start

Hi,

I'm a fairly untechnical Folder (basic Unix skills only). I had no problem getting FAH up and running on my current (2017) MacBook Pro, so I got my previous (2015) MacBook Pro out of the closet and fired that one up too no problem. Now I'm trying to get my even earlier (2009?) MacBook Pro (v5,2) up and running, and I'm not successful.

The log on startup shows

Anyone know what's going on?

Can you please post the initial section of your log which will have your system configuration (viewtopic.php?f=106&t=26036)?

03:04:58:WARNING:WU00:FS00:AS lowered CPUs from 2 to 1
This means that the Assignment Server (AS) responsible for distributing Work Unit (WU) couldn't find a suitable WU for 2 CPUs so is instead going to assign your system a WU of 1 CPU.

This is a bug in FAHCore for CPU it cannot start its work unit at all.

Maybe try to install dual boot to linux on the Mac.

Thanks! This is an old computer that I don't need for anything else, so it's not inconceivable that I could do that if I absolutely had to.

OS X 10.6.8 was supported until recently, but when a bug fix was needed for the CPU folding core A7 a few months ago that ended. The oldest version the developer could compile the updated code for required something (a library?) that isn't available until 10.8 as I recall. Would have to recheck to see if I have a more exact description of the minimum OS around.

Edit: Found the email, OS X 10.7 appears to be the current minimum version to do CPU folding.
