FAHControl & FAHClient non functional

Hi All,

I'm having some trouble with a fresh install of V7.5.1 - A clean download, straight through the installer with no modifications (the default path) resulted in no tray icon being created, and FAHControl will not connect to FAHClient.

I've attempted to reinstall multiple times,download a fresh installaer along with a number of permutations regarding removing data diretories, uninstalling & restarting, uninstalling, deleting all signs of and then restarting - all to the same effect. I've also tried installing as Administrator, and my own account, along with running as administrator and all paths lead to the same output. I've also tried changing the network & remote access settings within the configuration file, along with entirely omitting the configuration file to no avail.

I'm starting to thing i'm doing something stupid, as I've been fighting with this for a few days now on and off. Log Below.

The installer used to work fairly well with earlier version of Windows, including early Win 10. However from recent reports the Windows Installer is now installing some parts under the Admin account when doing an install for a specific user. Some of this can be fixed by dragging copies of the shortcuts from the Admin account to the user and making appropriate edits to point to the user's data directory. Other workarounds have been posted here, if you can not find them post here and someone should help you get it fixed up.

Thanks for your reply Joe. I've taken a look at one of the workarounds (the only one I could find) and I'm not sure my situation matches up.

After installation, the directories all exist within my own user directory - and not the Admin user's (Which I can't see - looking at users & groups it appears to be disabled, assuming it is only used for escalation under w10.)

Happy to dig through a couple more of the solutions if you or someone else could point me in the right direction?

It's probably worth noting that the client is added to firewall exceptions (manually) - and even when running, I can't seem to detect a listening port.
