What if I make the same Web interface you have now, and open source it so you can run it too?
Is there a way to get historic data ( csv or something)

Re: Bad Gateway on stats page
This has already been done by Extreme overclocking at https://folding.extremeoverclocking.com (and done very well too)
The database there has millions of rows, They get three hourly data from Stanford and update their website. It is a lot of work and processing power to run as well as person power to maintain. For a good read about what you might be getting yourself into go to folding.extremeoverclocking.com and have a read through the news items.
I don see any significant benefit of trying to duplicate Stanford's folding stats as you are reliant on the export from Stanford to populate it.
The recent outage only affected the team stats and not the individual stats so EOC was still reporting that Work Units were being processed by individuals but nothing was coming out for teams. Unfortunately Stanford's stats were not working at all. Reinventing a website would not solve the issue as it was outside of anyone's (outside of Stanford) control anyhow.
But good thought all the same.
Cheers

Re: Bad Gateway on stats page
FAH distributes the flat files and you can use that to populate it, but as prcowley reminds us, it's the updates that matter. The Added Value from the existing 3rd party sites is that they keep track of previous versions and show the trends in the (3=hourly) changes, whereas the official stats are current snapshots of totals.
Posting FAH's log:

The points are still counted, you can see them in your "web control". But yeah, main stats site is probably overwhelmed. It does works sometimes.
