PETITION?

It seems that a lot of GPU problems revolve around specific versions of drivers. Though NVidia has their own support structure, you can often learn from information reported by others who fold.

From this thread learned a few things:

1. Yellow circles are NOT common
2. NVIDIA all the gripes about open cl, is not the cause of my problems
3. Used a problematic driver, for awhile, causing problems + reading don't use this driver, talked about more than once. Egg on face/My Bad
4. FOE button

Bottom line me frustration with 'yellow circles' jumping to the wrong conclusion, thinking my troubles were with open cl. So a little embarrassed I should be fine!

Thanks Guys

Yeah drivers is a big pain under windows 10, if you can switch dedicated folders back to win 7 or switch to Linux. If you can't everytime stupid update forces a driver update on you, goto the NVidia site and download the latest from them or roll back to the previously installed NVidia driver

The EOC stats only track a portion of the folders, so that site is not going to show you the full range of contributors. The stats shown there are restricted to the top 6,000 teams whether active or inactive. You can get some indication of what is going on with folding there, but an incomplete one.

Kakaostats.net shows a bit over 29,000 active folders, but I don't know what definition of "active folder" is being used for its stats display.

I'll bet that if you examine the log of that WU, you'll find it didn't really hang at 99% but rather significantly before that.
That was quit awhile ago but now that you mention it seems like when I rebooted the rig it started at 38% or similar and went on through with no problem. I am using older drivers though before the driver problem started 373.06 and used that driver with windows 10 and the 980ti on the new rig I just built last week and its working fine also, the other rigs are windows 7

And I thought "I am One in a Million." Well, that's a goal.

"Join over 105,000 computers around the world" (from the old F@H page). Hmm, on average a username has 8 rigs.
