I have a just built system:
GTX 780 Ti (asus direct cu II)
i7-4790k, (Corsair 110 water cooler)
32Gb ram, SSD, 750 watt *0+ Platimum PSU
Windows 7 pro, also Ubuntu Linux 12.04, 14.04 and 14.10
It seems to fold at 3000-4000ppd on the cpu and 40,000-50,000ppd on the Gpu.
Even with the water cooling the fan noise gets pretty bad on the cpu so I stopped the cpu folding slot and use only GPU.
Unfortunately the protien viewer does not display a molecule if i am not folding with the cpu. The viewer window comes up and the world map background shows but no molecule.
Is there a fix for this?
Viewer does not work using GPU only

Do you have a passkey? When you have ten completed units (with 80% success) you should get a Quick Return Bonus and way more PPD.artsci2 wrote: It seems to fold at 3000-4000ppd on the cpu and 40,000-50,000ppd on the Gpu.
Not yet. Core_17 and the Viewer are not compatible. Sometime, possibly, the viewer will be updated -- don't hold your breath, though.artsci2 wrote: Unfortunately the protien viewer does not display a molecule if i am not folding with the cpu. Re: Viewer does not work using GPU only
The problem is not so much on the viewer side. The core 17 even have most of the data, but is just not delivering it. It's on the bug list but lower in priority compared to more important things to be fixed first. But yeah, it bothered me too as viewer are my hobby (viewtopic.php?nomobile=1&f=14&t=26879 )
