Registered bots?

Registered bots?
On the bottom of the forum, it says that Majestic-12 and Google are registered users and are online. Now both of those are bots (considering it says "[Bot]" next to their names). Why are bots registered users? They don't really need to be members to simply index the contents of this site...

They aren't actually registered users. The forum automatically classifies bots so we have more control over what they can and cannot see.
