I think I lost all my points [No, See your old team]

Post by voodoo doer »

I stopped folding for team ocn and started folding for team evga
and now I have two users
anyway I can merge these to users together, or have the points go the the one with 1,649,281points without folding for team ocn

Code: Select all

Points earned for team X stay with team X and points earned for team Y stay with team Y. Points earned by user A stay with user A even if he decides to fold under a new name by change his user name to B.

If user A has folded for both team X and team Y, there will be three entries in the official stats: A total for User A plus sub-entries for User A at Team X and User A at Team Y. How the 3rd party stats deal with that issue is entirely up to the author of that site. See http://fah-web.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/mai ... 3dfxvoodoo

The only real way to track your total is with a passkey. On the official stats, you can enter your passkey and get a summary of everything that has been returned with that passkey.

Oh, and welcome to foldingforum.org, voodoo doer.

Go to the official page and type in your passkey where it says passkey if you have always used the same passkey it will show the total for that passkey. But you will not be able to get a cert with all of them combined. Perhaps some day Stanford will combine them. http://fah-web.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/mai ... =userstats

Total = 464 cores folding

Just curious as to why not. None of the 3rd party stats sites use the passkey stats as far as I can tell, so what would be the reason for not combining them.

If you assume that's what voodoo doer is talking about, then yes, 3rd party stats will display combined stats for like names. I assumed something else.

Also note that because the 3rd party stat sites are not currently using Passkey info, that is not a good indicator of what they may be doing in the future. Stanford is now providing a way to do User Name/Passkey specific stats. 3rd parties may eventually offer that search option. ;)
