... and have lost count of how many units I've done w/ SMP.
It's only 4 or so, but I want to keep track so that when # 11 is completed I can make sure I'm starting to get my bonus points (oh glee )

Look in the log / logs they should all be there.
2 - SM H8QGi-F AMD 6xxx=112 cores @ 3.2 & 3.9Ghz
5 - SM X9QRI-f+ Intel 4650 = 320 cores @ 3.15Ghz
2 - I7 980X 4.4Ghz 2-GTX680
1 - 2700k 4.4Ghz GTX680
Total = 464 cores folding
Re: Just started running V7 SMP......
When I look at your stats on EOC for the last 36 hours I see no a3 core SMP work units and with an i7 @ 2.8Ghz there should be at least 3 or 4 during that time frame.
http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/ ... =&u=186049
All I see are 69 point and 600 point work units. Neither are SMP using the a3 core.
Can you check a few things please?
Look in task manager and check to see if all 8 cpu graphs are showing 100% usage. If only one is using 100% then you're running a CPU work unit and that shouldn't happen if you've set the slot for SMP.
Check your userid and your team number to ensure all characters and digits where entered correctly.
Make sure you're not using the bigadv option.
Look at the log and post the Project (run, clone, gen) that is currently running on your i7 and post the TPF(time per frame).
Everything may be okay but it's strange that there are only 600 & 69 point credits. I have a number of SMP clients running and the only base points I'm seeing are 481, 522 & 529(there are others but I'm not currently running them). One of my CPU clients is running a 600 point unit but I don't think I have ever seen one on any of my SMP clients. SMP clients generally use the a3 core although I think I read there are some new a4 units that can use SMP, so as I said everything might be okay. If so, I hope those a4 work units that are running SMP count towards your minimum 10 to get bonus.
It might come down to the fact that you're using v7 and I'm still on v6 until the 3rd party monitoring tools work with v7.

OK, here is my log; can someone tell me how many units I've done in SMP?
And here is a screenshot that maybe is answering your questions about TPF?

Hey guys, I'm a total novice at this stuff, have no idea what this is; maybe this screenshot will tell you what you're asking about?Make sure you're not using the bigadv option.

With that, please let me know if I've missed getting any of the info you need, and ( again, in layman's terms) how/where/what to go and do to get you guys the info you need.Plain and simple,I'm into the Folding scene because I think it's one of the most socially responsible things that a person can do

Re: Just started running V7 SMP......
You will need to go to user name/AppData/Roaming/FahClient/logs and look in your old logs and see how many smp W's you have completed. From looking at http://kakaostats.com/usum.php?u=846855 you are completing some a4 WU's but I do not know if they count toward the 10 smp count I do not think so because you have completed 15 of them that I can see at kakaostats. Are you running another computer also because you are also completing some uniprocessor WU's the 69 point WU's are uniprocessor.

Re: Just started running V7 SMP......
Grandpa,
Thank you for the info on where to look and also fo the KK link--it's now a shortcut link like I have to http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/ ... =39340&p=1
I found my logs -I'm almost ready to complete my 3rd SMP--it's due to complete in 30 min.
I only started this over the last weekend and had to uninstall /reinstall FAH to verify by process of elimination a problem w/ a disk imaging software.
I have 4 computers here at the house -- 3 run 6.23 and my main rig is a quad core running V7.
There is a 4th at a friends workplace that I have running 6.23, but I haven't been there to check it in almost 2 weeks. I do have it set so that 6.23 starts up at any cold start or reboot.
I may have completed 15 a4 units, but I only have 1 computer that could doing them, and just converted it from 6.23 to V7 over the weekend.
The only possibility is that before this weekend when I switched to V7, my quad core rig was running 6.23 and when I would go to http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/ ... =39340&p=1, I saw some whopping point jumps intermittently --might that be what you saw?

Re: Just started running V7 SMP......
Peter, thanks for checking out my questions. All looks to be running as it should.
The P7611 is indeed an a4 core work unit running as SMP. I did check my history and found that I had run one of these projects on an SMP setup that's using v6. At least that suggests that it's not a v7 vs v6 situation.
Looking at your kakaostats I do see 1 or 2 a3 WUs on 07/31, 1 on 08/03 and probably another on 08/02 so the client appears to be running correctly.
Anyway, except for the fact that a3 core WUs would complete faster you should be okay as long as the a4s with SMP do count toward your minimum 10 work units which they should. It's going to take a few days longer to get the bonus but if you haven't started receiving it by the end of next week please let us know so someone can check into it.

Re: Just started running V7 SMP......
Hi Bollix,
I know they're big ( at least for me ), but here are my logs that show what I think are completed SMP units. Would you mind looking and seeing how many you count?
I'm thinking my machine seems to running well?
Thanks for checking the above; I'll wait to hear from you.
Best, Peter

Re: Just started running V7 SMP......
I see 3 a4 WUs uploaded and 1 a3 WU. You're currently working on another a4. It all looks good so I guess the only questions are "Do the a4 SMP WUs count toward your bonus qualification?" and "Why aren't you getting more a3 WUs?". The second probably has to do with v7 and the needs of the Project. The first I can't answer but someone must know. Prior to these SMP a4 core WUs only a3 and a5 were considered for qualification.
At your current rate you should be qualified by mid week or sooner, depending on the projects you get, if the a4s are being counted for qualification.
P.S. when you post a long log like the one above please use the code tags. It's fairly easy to use ... just click on the Code button above the Full Editor screen, right-click between the code tags and paste.

Re: Just started running V7 SMP......
According to the official stats, Peter_Baerwald has completed 2957 WUs. The log that you posted only shows four that have been completed since the client was restarted 03/Aug/2011-18:58:39 UTC. We have no way of knowing if those other 2953 WUs were errors or completed WUs, nor can we tell which ones were completed using your passkey.
Whenever the client is restarted, the old log is stored and a new one created. By default, V7 keeps 15 older logs before it starts to discard them. If you want to do some digging, you can find them by opening Start + All_Programs + FAHClient + Data_Directory + logs and open any of them. You'll be searching for WORK_ACK to confirm something was successfully uploaded, and not far before that you should find state:SEND project:xxxx which probably follows FINISHED_UNIT.
Note the values of xxxx. and then look up those projects in the Project Summary. Any project that has a non-zero value in the KFactor column is a bonus-eligible project but only the ones that you've completed with the current User_Name and Passkey will count toward that User_Name + Passkey combination so you can ignore anything that was completed before you started using the passkey.
bollix47 has already analyzed the log that you posted, but you can practice on that one and confirm that it shows you've completed four bonus-eligible WUs.

Re: Just started running V7 SMP......
Hi Bruce,
Per your directions i found the 4 in my logs; they are the only ones I've completed w/ a passkey ( which I got when I installed V7 on 8/2 ).
By the time you read this, the 5th will be done--it's at 98% right now.
Thank you and Bollix again for all your time and help!
Best, Peter
