Trying to use FAH GPU Tracker v2

I'm trying to fold using the above program, with the smp and gpu client. The gpu is a radeon 6850.
After setup my status is set to running, project and points are unknown. the log for smp reads as follows

I haven't got any experience with the Tracker v2 but based on the error in the FAHlog, you may want to read this -> (viewtopic.php?f=18&t=17794#p161536).

What did the GPUTracker developer say about the error?

Isn't that a firewall issue? It doesn't seem to be talking to Stanford

i disabled my firewall on my computer and am still having the same issue, is there another FAH client i should try?

I really appreciate you guys helping with this.

Yha try using the actual client.

You are using someones third party appilcation.

Use the d/l from the links from above

dl'd the client from the homepage, heres the log file. i disabled firewall on my tower, could it be an issue with the router? I'm connected to a linksys wrt310m router using wpa2, and have full access to the network and the 4 other computers on it.

Also, I can connect to all those links given above, and get an OK on each page.

We've simplified the software install. Now let's do the same for the network. Connect with ethernet and see if the problem goes away. If there are multiple hubs/switches/routers, connect this PC to the router closest to the internet connection and verify fah works there. Then work your way back, adding one new piece of hardware, and see where it fails. Then fix that failure.


Also, if the GPU Tracker includes the client, that would be a serious violation of the End User License Agreement.

Can you connect to http://assign2.stanford.edu ? That's the same connection that the client is failing to make when you get the message "Could not connect to Assignment Server 2"

If it doesn't work in your browser, fix your internet connection. If it does work in your browser by not in FAH, it's an issue with your security software (firewall).

Just so you know, GPU Tracker does not include the clients with it. It is set up to download the clients from Stanford for the users. It was developed to make the setup process simpler for those beginners that were having problems getting going.

im back at college, and clients are running on all of my computers with no problem. I'm going to have to fix that router when i get home... Thanks for all your help!

into the Additional Client Parameters under the Advance tab, the only way I could get to it was to leave the error box open before it automaticaly shut down.
