HFM net issues

Post by OzPapaSmurf »

I added another client to my HFM programme the other night, one from a machine I have always used and now I get a funny message
on it and also another machine that I just added FAH onto doing the same thing. I have never seen this issue before and it seems
only to affect the SMP clients and not the GPU ones? My Main machine has no issues like this just the other 2 on my home
network, pics below.

Is PentiumD the name of the machine?
When you put a E8400 in it, did you change machine name? And forget to redo you network?

No, I left the name the same and just changed the CPU.
But I am having the same issue with the PhenomII 955 in a different machine.

Have you checked the User Name and Team Number? I think the coloring of that column indicates there's something wrong in that area. I know that the User Name column for my HFM.net setup is not colored. This could indicate the Web Settings in HFM preferences have not been updated.

Do you have other clients that have a space in the folder name that are working okay? None of mine have spaces in their directory names. It appears to be working okay as the info is showing up but we've all seen instances where a space in the directory name requires quotes :?:

Does it still give you this error when you change your folder name to smp_beta2 (instead of smp beta2)?

You'd be much more likely to get your questions relating to HFM in this thread viewtopic.php?f=14&t=9903 in the 3rd party software section. I'll do my best to help here, now, and next time you can go to the best place for help.

The validation errors occur on my XP x64 machine but they do not affect functionality in any way if you answer yes to accept them. The orange highlight on user name usually occurs when the user fails to correctly enter their user name and team number in the web settings tab of preferences (as Bollix says).

I had a look in the preferences for Web setting and it has my team number
and it has Stanford Use ID as 111 and the Extreme overclocking ID as 111.
I never set these and could that be the reason my name is in Orange?
The user name is EXACTLY the same in ALL my clients

Thanks for all the help so far too, I changed the name for each folder and the
main issue I put the pics in for has vanished :D
