hello I am new to this. I would love to help out. an I am currently running folding at home. But I dont seem to get much information off the main site. Such as how do I join a group? And Do I need to join a group to fold and help benefit the experiments? Also, I was wondering how I could check up on the progress and how does all that work as well?

Any youtube vids you all would suggest to help me with all this?

No, you don't need to join a team. Teams are setup to create a freindly compitition type challange, and are usually made up from forums, or other groups you already belong to. Say you always go to 1 computer type forum... well they probabaly have a team you can join up with.

Checking your progress you can use the online stats, posted at the top of the page here. Or to watch the progress on your work, you can d/l programs like Fahmon, or fahspy or hfm.net. They'll show how your machine is working.

Those are the flashiest unfortunately, but the also can make your computer crash...
