folding.stanford.edu Access denied.
I'm getting "Access denied." intermittently on a of http://folding.stanford.edu/ pages.
Pretty much all of them, here's just a few of the many intermittently access denied pages:
http://folding.stanford.edu/
http://folding.stanford.edu/English/Download
http://folding.stanford.edu/Science
http://folding.stanford.edu/English/About
http://folding.stanford.edu/English/FAQ
It's intermittent. Sometimes I'll get several pages in a row to load, sometimes access denied. It seems to happen on any of the http://folding.stanford.edu/ . Other domains like http://fah-web.stanford.edu/serverstat.html seem fine.
You can refresh the same page and it may come up 5 times in a row and then fail the next 8 times with "Access denied."

I don't know if anybody is still awake (it's 22:30 PST), but I did try to notify them.

Re: folding.stanford.edu Access denied.
Those pages are cached, so this would likely work itself out, but I took care of it manually ( "access denied" is definitely not the message we want to be sending).

Still getting the HTTP 403 error. No access intermittently.
Doesn't seem to be much going on anyway, I guess.

It's late, we'll look into it first thing tomorrow. The server may be acting up. This one is hosted by Stanford IT (not my team) so we'll fill out a ticket.

Re: folding.stanford.edu Access denied.
It's not critical at the moment for me, but I figured you'd want to know.
If you do have to get some stuff off of the http://folding.stanford.edu/ site before they get a chance to fix it at a reasonable hour, I've found that I can get to things by persistently reloading the page. It might take me 20+ tries. If you can wait, wait till later tomorrow and it will probably be fine. If you have to get something right now, you can try the reload trick.
I just tested it again for the fun of it, and it appears to be working again. Out of 50 assorted page loads, I didn't get the Access Denied error.
So go ahead and try it, you may not have to wait until tomorrow...

Looks like it's still not fixed. I'll give updates in my blog, so please look there if you're curious as to the status of this.
