When you click it, it will onlky show the first page of what should be many... Ie as i type this, there are 30 new posts, but when I click it, only 16 show up... and the EARLIEST TIME IS WAY AFTER MY, oops, my last log in.

Scroll to the bottom of the list at the right. Do you see page numbers there? It would look similar to this:

Go to page Previous 1, 2

There often are 30 new posts but some topics contain more than one new post so seeing 16 topics that contain 30 new posts isn't a problem.

Earliest time indicates when the FIRST post in that topic was posted, not when the newest post was added. If you click on the orange flag next to the topic title, it will take you to the first new post in that topic -- which is probably near then end of that discussion.

No it doesn't..... those don't exikst on the search page.

Okay, it's not 30 new threads, but actual posts.. Gotcha

What i had meant by time is that the last post/thread on the page would be stamped at say 12:39am... And I last had been on at 8:30pm, so 4hrs earlier. I doubt there was 0 posts in between

What I think you are noticing are hidden posts from user groups that you don't belong to. Because you don't belong to all the user groups, that exist, the topics and text of some of the groups remain hidden. However, when you do a search the number of messages will include them in the totals but you don't actually get to see topics and text from groups that you don't belong to.

Now that I understand more about what you wanted to know, I can see how this didn't help you. However, before responding to you, I clicked "new posts" and did see two pages of them. I don't always, but I did that time. It would, of course, depend on how long it has been since you visited whether you would see more than one page of topics there.

Yha, I use it all the time... I think the answer is Bruces... That it shows threads.. and tells you posts.

Well, If you seen the multi page option, it works fine, and I was wrong.
