This laptop folds SMP alright until I shut it down with Ctl-C. A re-boot always gives 0x79 and I lose the WU every time.
Should I re-install or what? Here is the last log:

It looks like your problem is that you did not start the client with the -smp flag. Project 2665 is a SMP WU, but your client is trying to start it in non-SMP mode.
I've heard that some 0x79 errors can be helped if you switch from MPICH to DEINOMPI but I'm not certain if that's true or not. If your current installation is working (with the -smp flag) do not waste your time upgrading, but if nothing else works, consider the DEINO version next time you decide to reinstall (if you do have a 32-bit OS).
