You are storing your client data to a drive called S:\ ... what is it ?
A friend found a strange workaround on Linux for this, so you might want to try it on Windows too. Find the gpus.json file in s:\ProgramData\FAHClient and delete it. Then restart the client (or reboot the whole system).

Re: New GPUs RTX 5000 series
Efficiency usually peaks with x60 model of each generation ... it sometimes shifts a little bit toward x70 depending on the costs and power draw.

Re: Project 18251 very low PPD on RTX 2060s
This project uses a bugged code in OpenMM that prevent it from working well on newer GPUs ... this bug is fixed in core 26, but it has other issue that must be fixed before moving to it. :( If we disable NV species 7, it will also take down high end GTX 1xxx GPUs that are doing fine on this project ...

Yes, someone on Discord asked me to add such GPUs to stress test their brand new systems before moving into production.

If you want to get a silent folding machine, don't fold on crappy laptops or get a desktop with high quality coolers and fans.
No need to mess with useless software.

Re: Nvidia vs AMD CPU usage
The fun fact is that OpenCL uses passive polling and doesn't use CPU much while CUDA uses active polling and a full CPU thread ... and this all on nVidia (Windows).

Kernel updates tend to break nVidia drivers depending on how you installed them. So it usually requires a driver reinstallation.

Re: list of acceptable supported Nvidia cards
I have been searching and cannot locate an accurate list of supported video cards. With v7.6.21 I had several Nvidia Quadro K620 folding but, this model now lists as "unsupported" with v8. I researched and as I have a Quadro P620 that IS supported with v8 working. So, I bought a Quadro P4...
