You have 116 CPUs. Are those virtualized CPUs that are mapped onto a smaller number of real CPUs? If so, that's your problem. Well, in posting this, I thought of a couple other ideas to try, and one of them worked. I switched the VM to a static IP address configuration (instead of dhcp) and it seems to be folding correctly now. I'm still not sure what caused the problem, but at least I have a work around. One more thing -- I'm suspicious that this is somehow network related since the paravirtualized network often behaves a bit differently than FV. Is there any way to debug this to find out if network binding is the issue? Maybe a higher log level?

By the way, this is happening on 8 different machines, all running the 7.4.4.1 linux client. The machines range in cpu count from 8 to 144.
