Re: Thoughts on Apple M chips?
I’m running an M2 Mac Mini (6 out of 8 cores) & an M1 Max Mac Studio (8 out of 10 cores), 24hrs per day for the last 4+ weeks. Averaging 433,000 ppd (both machines). https://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/user_summary.php?s=&u=114950 Was easy to setup, runs without impacting normal operatio...

@ tug27224
Thank You for your work! I had been wondering about my erratic performance, but just chalking it up to the variations that occur when different types of WU's are assigned. Nice to see a 54WU/300K bonus show up!

Grant

Re: Stats not updating?
Since the stats has no direct impact on science the resources are set elsewhere. But yeah, an automatic reboot every day once the stats are pushed to the web server might be a low-cost mitigation action. While what you say is technically true, you are dealing with a large set of volunteers. These v...

Re: Unable to download new WU
Bruce: Thanks for the link to Dr. Pande's vision. I've just read it and it's reinforced something I've been thinking more and more over the last year. His vision is all about the science, the math, the technology. It's good to be thinking about those things. But it's all useless unless you have the ...

Re: Unable to download new WU
Are there plans to get WU's for 16 core CPU's again?
I was getting WU's from 171.67.108.45 (seems to be MIA) and 171.67.108.204 (still no WU's).
WU's running on current 2 X 4 cores/8 threads configuration is resulting in about a 40% reduction in PPD.
peace,
Grant

Now, 18 hrs later, was still not getting WU's.
Added a CPU slot, now running 8 threads each, picked up two fresh WU's

Re: Unable to download new WU
I have an 8-core (16 thread) CPU. Should I be running two slots with 4 cores each? How would I do that?

Re: Unkown Unknown Unknown
@ Joe_H:
So I guess my question should have been:
In a stock F@H home installation on Windows 7, where is the work folder so I can delete it?
