Re: Trying to merge new and old account....

I am just a user, but my bet is no way ever.

If there was any way to change them, scammers would already have stolen all our points.

Re: Please add NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 to the supported GPU list

In Windows, GPU-Z can tell us the Device ID. That will give them enough data to enter it in the server. Once in the server you can .update your copy

https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/geforce-gt-750m-mac-edition.c2527 Welcome to Folding at Home! This GPU design is 11 yeas old, that is very old in dog years. Kepler is not supported in CUDA, you would only be able it run OpenCL This GPU is 3.8 times slower that the slowest NVIDIA GPU guaranteed...

Re: Seeking Clarification on Folding@Home Operations During Gaming Sessions

in the v8 beta web client there is a button Pause Folding. Then you choose Pause Now, or Finish up then Pause.

in the v7 production advanced client, there are 2 two buttons; Pause and Finish

Re: Software Monthly Update

You say 'programmers/developers' as if there was more than one. There is AFAIK, only one. Mr Coffland does wonderful, but if you add tasks, he will get less done.

Re: testing the same work unit on different configurations to see how fast it will run

Folding@Home itself never runs the same Work Unit to completion more than once.

FAHBench is the official benchmark for F@H.

Ok you have a year old AMD 7520U cpu.
It appears no one has entered the integrated gpu in the server database.

You can help by running gpuz and posting your device id, usually formatted as four 4 digit numbers.

Re: Point inflation - Longevity Credit

My first GPU had 16 shaders, of course it did less work than a modern GPU with thousands. My Semperon did less work as well. This is not point inflation, this is more capable hardware doing better science.

Re: Actual credit?

In 1986 - 7, I did communications programing for Honda Canada under contract. 56k. X.25 at the server, up to 24 simultaneous 1200 modems at clients. I personally owned a 9600 baud modem, but DataPac only had 1200 baud gear in remote locations. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/DATAPAC Hónda Canada had...

Re: Actual credit?

Currently, you, the client, start each interaction with the server. 'I would like a new Work Unit' I have a WU to return' And this is safest for you, no unexpected conversations. Getting a result when the server felt like it, would be a server initiated transfer. Much less secure, and having written...
