So why don't you get an account at the wiki and edit it, since you are so enthusiastic?

Re: maxFAH ( installer/manager/monitor for windows )
I am not sure what their stand is, because they do not state it here, but the above statement states the client and OS and only them, and hence excludes all 3rd-party installers. Please use only the controls provided by the client and the operating system

Re: maxFAH ( installer/manager/monitor for windows )
Referring to the post by Dr. Pande on 20 August 09, http://folding.typepad.com/news/2009/08 ... grity.html Please use only the controls provided by the client and the operating system ; do not modify the cores or Folding@Home data in any way. Doing so is the equivalent of providing a tainted donatio...

Re: client differences?
All clients, if it can't download the core, would keep on attempting to do so, thus it would still cause some load on the FAH servers, regardless of my idea or not. Anyway 10 is an arbitrary number, I'm simply suggesting that using IE settings if otherwise fails would help the minority users. Beside...

Re: client differences?
I have a suggestion for the Pande development team regarding 6.23. Since some people need "Use IE settings" to download cores, and some with 6.23 cannot download cores due to the lack of this feature, why not: Continue with this feature, but regardless of the setting used, if it fails to d...

Re: FahMon (multi-platform app to monitor various F@h clients)
Hi, could i ask what exact files are read by FAHmon, 'coz i'm monitoring my clients over the internet, having trouble monitoring them well.
the messages log says cannot read queue.dat, logfile_00.txt, unitinfo.txt, logfile_655370.txt, so i assume these are needed in addition to the FAHlog.txt i have?

Re: Scheduling folding for off-peak electricity times?
Easier: Create 2 .bat files (using notepad) net start [SERVICE1 NAME] net start [SERVICE2 NAME] where the service-name is the name(s) of the folding@home services (you can check this up in services.msc) net stop [SERVICE1 NAME] net stop [SERVICE2 NAME] Similarly..... Then use task scheduler to run t...

Quick question on client.cfg
strictly speaking, Is the editing of the client.cfg against the Folding@Home license? E.g. changing MachineID through client.cfg instead of -configonly

Re: Can you guys re-design the stats pages?
Actaully, does the FAH stat server keep record of every single WU ever sent in, all hundreds of millions of them? (like, the one that the mods can access). If so ,the database would only get larger and more problematic.... would help if more details about WUs are truncated every few months or every ...

"Project 3798
This project is just to test some new FAH code."

I believe this WU was created to test the stressing of their servers on the netload.
It's reported here as well:

Re: maxFAH - windows multi client installer/manager
How do you reconcile the creation of an installer that automatically installs with little user intervention (and can be modified for unscrupulous uses), and attempts to alter and configure the client and it's configuration files, with the Folding@home EULA? You may use this software on a computer sy...
