EUE - driver or WU ?- 5755 (Run 3, Clone 105, Gen 8)
This is very interesting: the 2nd WU after updating the nvidia driver (from 177.83 to 180.48) gave me my first EUE after installing my 9800gtx+ two weeks ago. BUT I was offline at the time ( [15:36:35] ), so I don't know if that makes any difference, but it is pertinant. [13:34:06] Completed 78% [13...

Re: FahProgress: A micro monitoring tool for win
the green bars and the percentage. its almost like the program "wakes up" when you move the mouse near it.
will try and get a better idea of what it does and explain it.

Re: n00b PPD question
is there a specific formula that is used to work out the points for the folding
i know that there are supposed to more point for a more dificult WU, but what i see at the moment is that it takes longer, and it seems to work out to the same PPD anyway? please correct me if i am wrong

Re: n00b PPD question
thanks bruce, i do understand that maths, where do i find he value of the WU, is it in the log files somewhere?
i know that the more dificult WU do take longer and are worth more points, but are those points roughly the same PPD or more?

n00b PPD question
everyone talks about the PPD, and it would seem from the way it is talked about that it is a primary measure of your clients performance on your GPU/CPU. How on earth is it worked out? would someone please explain, as i have searched theses forums and i couldnt seem to find a clear explanation. i un...

Re: FahProgress: A micro monitoring tool for win
pretty good there MrstrBlstr ;) yes, i only started folding a JUST before client 1.18 came out, i got ONE complete WU (second one) out of 25 odd, then when i installed your app, the very first WU completed, the next one got EUE and then 1.19 came out, and that atm has a 50% success rate (1 complete,...

Re: FahProgress: A micro monitoring tool for win
... Let's try to preserve the character of this one. ok, fair enough, but this one works for me, AND with all this strange stuff going on with the gpu client (nvidia) i was INCREDIBLY impressed when i suddenly get a complete WU after installing this litttle app. Hmm. For the PPD I'd have to do a lo...

Re: FahProgress: A micro monitoring tool for win
Vulcan, i have just had a thought - based on the PPD fetish we all seem to have - (i still have absolutely NO idea how to work it out) would it be too dificult to have the TOTAL PPD as a figure below the bars, and/OR if you hover your mouse over the %bar, for it to display the PPD for that client (P...

Re: FahProgress: A micro monitoring tool for win
how about having the "C1, C2 etc" OR the %bar in colur, IE - green for an nvidia client, red for ATI client, black for cpu etc ??, then the fields dont have to be much larger?
gonna DL it now and try it

Re: blue WU's or poo GPU?
is there another log type other than my first post in this thread? (and i exchanged the 1.15 file with the 1.18) i didnt want to repost stuff that was already there :) so it is called a client as apposed to a driver, ok vista home premium 64 bit - (SP1) GPU driver - 7.15.11.7813 (i understood this t...
